3. What data will be processed by us for and what purposes?

We process personal data when this app is installed and used. In the following, we have listed exactly what personal data is processed:

3.1. Data collected during the download

When downloading the app, certain necessary information is transmitted to the selected app store (e.g. Google Play or Apple App Store). In particular, the user name, the e-mail address, the customer number of your account, the time and date of download, payment information as well as the individual device identification can be processed. The processing of the data is carried out solely by the respective app store and lies outside our sphere of influence.

3.2. Data that is required for the provision and use of the app

When you use the app, we automatically collect certain information required for the use and security of the app (legitimate purpose according to Art. 6 (1 f) GDPR). This includes: the time of access, IP address, browser (Android, iOS).

3.3. Camera and audio settings

In order to be able to use video call function effectively, the app requires access to the camera and audio functions. During installation of the app, we will ask you for your permission (Art. 6 (1 a) GDPR). You can choose which camera and audio capabilities of your device are set by default in the future. Depending on your device, you can use between the front and rear cameras. You also have the option of completely disabling the video and audio function. In this case, you can only use the app to a limited extent.
If you wish to get in touch with one of our experts, this takes place in two ways: either you tell the expert the service number displayed and the corresponding password which is also displayed or you send this information via the "Share information" button. After the expert has entered this data, the video call is automatically started in accordance with your selected settings. You can change your settings at any time.

3.4. Data processing during service

When establishing a connection, the video call is automatically activated. Using the camera enables you to show our experts the technical problem via live broadcast. If you do not want to be visible/identifiable on the video, please activate your back camera. Please make sure that you also ensure the privacy of third parties and avoid filming other people.

3.5. Recording individual film sequences/sending images

Our expert has the ability to record individual sequences of the video call and to save these recordings on BEUMER Group servers. You will be informed of a recording in advance and the recording is only made after your approval. During the recording, a red signal and a time specification appear on the top of your display, enabling you to view the duration of the recording. We process the sequences in order to be able to offer you a solution or to improve our processes and services over the long term with the help of the video material. We process personal data only if you are intentionally identifiable on the recordings (Art. 6 (1 a) GDPR). In these cases, you can withdraw your consent at any time using the specified contact details. If the recording is limited to the technical problem, we cannot identify you personally from the recording. The data processing is then carried out in order to fulfil our service contract with your company (Art. 6 (1 b) GDPR) and in our justified interest in the optimisation of our services (Art. 6 (1 f) GDPR).
You also have the option of taking a photograph with your camera and making this available to our experts via the app in order to analyse the problem. These pictures can be saved at BEUMER Group. As such, please ensure that you do not photograph any people.
